The word “whiskey” comes from the Gaelic “uisge”, meaning "water of life," also known as aqua vitae in Latin. Actually, there are many forms grapes, grains, and fruits turned to alcohol delights that were at one time or another considered to be the “water of life” in their infancy. Now the big debate seems to be whether whiskey produced by the Scotch, Irish, or American is the best for drinking purposes. Well, let’s see, shall we? In this class we’ll explore the differences in whiskey from all over the globe!
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine (or spirits) experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While we take our studies and classes seriously, we strive to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
