When you stroll through a wine store, you often see big and super recognizable wine countries. But one of our favorite little gems is Portugal…which is smaller than the state of Indiana, but is home to hundreds of native wine grapes. Oh, well, and they also produce beloved Port! Portuguese wine is the result of traditions introduced to the region by ancient civilizations such as the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, and Romans. And the Portuguese took all those notes and tidbits and created an astounding array of delightful wines! Come sip and savor and explore!
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine (or spirits) experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While we take our studies and classes seriously, we strive to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
To keep your curiosity piqued, the location of this tasting experience will be released to participants about 5 days before the event. But, never fear, this event is in Colorado Springs! This experience is a 90 minute tasting adventure beginning at 6:00pm and includes friendly and professional instruction, tasting of 4 wines paired with food bites, and a takeaway note sheet. Space is limited; advanced paid reservations are required.
