May is the month we celebrate Mom…and a great time to focus on wines with a distinctive “bouquet”. In wine tasting, there is generally a distinction made between a wine’s "aromas" and a wine's "bouquet". An aroma refers to the smells unique to the grape variety and are commonly associated with younger wines. As a wine ages, chemical reactions among its elements create new smells that are known as a wine's “bouquet”. In this experience we will offer you a sensational selection of highly aromatic white and red wines that may just be a perfect fit for the Mom you want to celebrate. Might we also suggest, you bring her along for the adventure?
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine (or spirits) experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While we take our studies and classes seriously, we strive to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
To keep your curiosity piqued, the location of this tasting experience will be released to participants about 5 days before the event. But, never fear, this event is in Colorado Springs! This experience is a 90 minute tasting adventure beginning at 6:00pm and includes friendly and professional instruction, tasting of 4 wines paired with food bites, and a takeaway note sheet. Space is limited; advanced paid reservations are required.
