Today is Cabernet Day! Cabernet Sauvignon is a relatively new grape variety in terms of age; it’s only been around for about 350 years. When compared other varieties that have been planted for 2,000 years, suddenly Cabernet seems like a baby. Despite its youth, wines made with Cabernet grapes have flavors, fruit and boldness that all come together to make a wine that’s very special. Nearly every red wine lover has a special place in their heart for classic Cabernet Sauvignon. In fact, it’s so well-loved, it just recently became the world’s most planted wine grape variety. Despite how well distributed, it can be surprisingly difficult (and expensive) to find a great bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon...let’s see what we can find, shall we?
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine (or spirits) experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While we take our studies and classes seriously, we strive to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
To keep your curiosity piqued, the location of this tasting experience will be released to participants about 5 days before the event. But, never fear, this event is in Colorado Springs! This experience is a 90 minute tasting adventure beginning at 6:00pm and includes friendly and professional instruction, tasting of 4 wines paired with food bites, and a takeaway note sheet. Space is limited; advanced paid reservations are required.
