Grenache is one of the most widely planted red wine grape varieties in the world. It ripens late, so it needs hot, dry conditions and generally offers spicy, berry-flavors and soft on the palate. It is a rather perfect fall wine. As Grenache ages the wines tend to take on more leather and tar flavors. In this tasting experience, we will explore how the terroir (“sense of place”) impacts this variety and how diverse the wines made from this grape really can be!
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While Michaela take her studies and classes seriously, she strives to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
This experience is a 90 minute tasting adventure that will be located at Kreuser Gallery beginning at 6:00pm and includes friendly and professional instruction, tasting of 4 wines paired with food bites, and a takeaway note sheet. Space is limited; advanced paid reservations are required.
