Gin was created by a Dutch chemist in the 16th century to cleanse the blood of folks suffering from kidney disorders. The creation was named genièvre, French for juniper...which is what gin is distilled from. Mass production of gin in England soon followed and eventually made its way into American culture where it developed its very own unique history filled with love, passion, lawlessness, bathtubs, secrecy, and now…craft! In this “workshop” guests will learn a little history, taste different styles of gin…and experiment to craft a perfect gin cocktail that will add a distinctive twist to this tasting experience!
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine (or spirits) experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While we take our studies and classes seriously, we strive to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
