Cabernet Franc is medium-bodied red wine with a fruit and floral-forward loveliness whose origins likely lie in the Basque country of France. And…it is a parent to Cabernet Sauvignon (the other is Sauvignon Blanc). Cabernet Sauvignon is a bit fuller-bodied and more robust in earth and spice. Both varieties have distinctive differences from each other as well as within terrior differences within their own varietal. In this tasting experience, we will explore and savor some of the dramatic differences between these wines!
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine (or spirits) experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While we take our studies and classes seriously, we strive to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
To keep your curiosity piqued, the location of this tasting experience will be released to participants about 5 days before the event. This experience is a 90 minute tasting adventure beginning at 6:00pm and includes friendly and professional instruction, tasting of 4 wines paired with food bites, and a takeaway note sheet.
