Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety that makes a diverse white wine that is seen as a "rite of passage" and an easy entry into the international wine market. The Chardonnay grape itself is neutral, with many of the flavors commonly associated with the wine being derived from such influences as terroir and oak. Viognier is a white wine variety that has the potential to produce wines with a lush, soft character. In contrast to Chardonnay, the Viognier varietal has more natural aromatics that include notes of peach, pears, violets and mineral. In this tasting experience, we are going to compare the two noble varieties!
The Curious Palate is a tasting experience that is designed for the taster who wants to take their personal wine experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! What is the difference between drinking and tasting...and does it matter? How does what’s in your glass pair with food? How can you elevate any event with a little more flavor? While Michaela take her studies and classes seriously, she strives to make each tasting delightful and dynamic!
This experience is a 90 minute tasting adventure that will be located at Kreuser Gallery beginning at 6:00pm and includes friendly and professional instruction, tasting of 4 wines paired with food bites, and a takeaway note sheet. Space is limited; advanced paid reservations are required.
